# A Block Blast web-game turn log
Prepared on behalf of blockblast.co, an unofficial fan site operating an independent browser puzzle. This worksheet is specific to that web game; Hungry Studio's app has separate rules and scores.
## Log one decision, not just the final score
Open the [free browser puzzle](https://blockblast.co/). Before a difficult placement, record these four observations:
- Space: which rectangular area must stay empty for the most constrained piece?
- Sequence: which smaller placement could finish a row or column and open that area?
- Preview: does the whole shape fit without overlap, and which lines does the preview highlight?
- Outcome: after placing all three pieces, did the intended footprint remain usable?
## Three useful notes after a run
Record one successful clear that opened room for another piece. Record one small piece that you placed too early. Finally write a specific habit for the next run, such as checking all three tray pieces before dragging the first one. “Play better” is too vague to test.
For example, if a 3-by-3 square is blocked, count a full contiguous 3-by-3 footprint after a possible line clear. Do not count scattered empty cells or assume a square can rotate into a different shape. The web game uses an 8-by-8 board and displayed piece orientations.
## Review without confusing tools
The site's [placement helper](https://blockblast.co/solver) accepts a manually entered board and one to three remaining pieces. Check every cell and shape before using its suggestions. It suggests placements and line clears, not a predicted next tray or a reproduction of the scoring system. Keep app and browser-game records separate. Reviewed 22 October 2026.
